Case Study - Agent Provocateur
Luxury underwear company Agent Provocateur came to KSL for help with two major projects: moving their warehouse, and replacing their current website. For a busy, high-end retailer, both of these moves require a great deal of consideration and planning to ensure that they progress smoothly without impacting business. Anne conducted a high level review of their existing IT systems and documentation, including a comparison of the different interfaces employed by their suppliers. She then led workshops on the current systems' issues, to ensure that everyone remained informed of what problems they might encounter in the future. Finally, she constructed proposals for the best options for phasing these projects. KSL's advice was well received, and Agent Provocateur have since asked KSL to provide follow-up support for their warehouse move.
Case Study - VisitBritain
KSL helped replace VisitBritain E-Commerce platform. VisitBritain is a non departmental public body in receipt of a grant from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. This grant is supplemented with income from commercial activities including country specific online shops selling products such as rail passes and attraction tickets. Kavita conducted detailed workshops with key personal and derived a detailed requirements specification. KSL Consultants drew on previous projects (Channel 4, figleaves.com etc) and now has an exciting reusable e-commerce requirement template to help future customers.
Case Study - Emailvision
When figleaves.com chose Emailvision they turned to KSL consultants to support the transition. Kavita created the strategy and architecture plan, outlining a number of integration options. KSL consultants aided the figleaves.com technical team working closely with Emailvision to move the legacy email database across to campaign commander. This exercise included data cleansing and segmentation. Theo reviewed the Emailvision training and supplemented the figleaves.com marketing team. Jason provided design, HTML and JavaScript to aid the creative creation of figleaves.com email.
Case Study - Figleaves Warehouse
When figleaves.com needed interim technology management, they turned to KSL. John delivered for figleaves.com new Casio hand-held terminals into the warehouse in time for Christmas. Available 24/7 the figleaves.com system holds over 100 brands, 5,500 product colours and 25,000 SKUs. Due to the high volume of figleaves.com orders, the initial batch of Casio hand-held terminals does in excess of 24 million picks and 72 million scans in their life-time. John worked closely with Casio, the in-house technology team and off-site developer. This project was short listed as a finalist in the Retail Solutions Business awards.

Whatsmysize.com is one of those simple concepts a woman will wonder how she ever lived without. By filling out her measurements, she will instantly be told what clothing size she needs at all the high-street retailers, allowing her to buy with confidence online as well as in-store! KSL was delighted to be asked to launch Whatsmysize.com, and ensured we were involved from the start in seeing the concept to fruition. Case Study - SEO for VisitBritain
Funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, VisitBritain has a mission to increase the volume and value of tourism to Britain. With over 22 regional offices, co-ordination is vital for succeeding in VisitBritain's aims. KSL created an integrated PPC (pay-per-click) solution, to ensure all the offices were on the same page. We created a team to work on all aspects of the business: Kavita drew up a detailed requirements specification, leading John Batho as Project Manager, Jason Guest and Melita Rowley as testers, Sok Yee Sim as mathematical analyst and Theo Pike as copy-writer for manuals.

Soundinfo specialises in helping the entertainment and celebrity industry to maximise and monetise its on-line potential. Soundinfo offers a suite of ready-to-use database marketing and communication tools, tailor-made systems where relevant, and a set of celebrity management tools. Which includes website, website builder, customer databases with email and SMS marketing facilities, blog facility, picture library and memorabilia management. Case Study - ATG and Figleaves
Figleaves.com is the largest online branded e-tailer for a wide selection of lingerie, swimwear and sleepwear. Wanted they wanted new ways to capture their customer's imagination using ATG technologies figleaves.com turned to KSL Consultants. Kavita defined the requirements for the ATG e-commerce platform. After defining the technology testing process and business transition team for the new platform KSL consultants assigned Jason to managing the web content of this site. For ATG recommendations the 'if you liked this...' function Kavita also implemented the solution on the legacy site.
Case Study - Digital Delicatessen
Digital Delicatessen is a social network, connecting film makers with their peers and offering them funding and co-operation opportunities. KSL Consultants invested in the creation of the site, and delivering a streaming video solution to create a rich and 'sticky' experience for participants. Kavita was seconded to Digital Deli as CTO and board director on this project, providing vital management and strategy leadership. Akhil also supported the project providing network infrastructure support.
Case Study - Tandberg TV
Tandberg TV are world-leaders in video compression and digital systems and part of the Ericsson Group. When Tandberg required a VOD (video-on-demand) demo for IBC 2005, they called KSL Consultants. Kavita managed the development of Mindset version 1, a Mindhouse product along with a CNN STB interactive application using Liberate technologies. Acting as technical lead and delivery manager, she delivered a set of applications that can be repurposed for a number of EMEA countries and extended to include an Emuse-based Open TV application.
